Schools & Partnerships
Ascera Tutoring works alongside schools as a trusted academic partner — offering structured, exam-aligned tutoring in Maths and Sciences that complements classroom teaching and helps students progress. Based in North London and Hertfordshire, with online delivery available UK-wide. Referrals welcome from subject teachers, pastoral leads, and SENCOs.
What we offer
Ascera provides expert, exam-board-aligned tuition out of school hours — not a replacement for classroom teaching, but a structured extension of it.
Every session is built around your students' exact exam boards — AQA, Edexcel, OCR — covering the specification content, required practicals and mark-scheme techniques that examiners reward.
Every student is taught 1-to-1, with sessions tailored to their specific gaps, predicted grades and upcoming assessments. No one-size-fits-all approaches.
Students and families receive structured feedback after each session. Progress is tracked against predicted grades, giving schools confidence that referrals are leading to real improvement.
Sessions run outside school hours — evenings and weekends — so there is no disruption to the school day. Online delivery means students across your whole catchment can access support.
GCSE Maths, GCSE Biology, GCSE Chemistry, GCSE Physics, A-Level Biology and A-Level Chemistry — the core subjects where targeted tutoring makes the greatest difference to grade outcomes.
Enhanced DBS checked. All sessions conducted online in a safe, professional environment. Ascera is ICO registered (ZC121786) and operates in line with UK data protection requirements.
Why partner with Ascera
When students improve, the school improves. Partnership with Ascera is a low-effort, high-impact way to extend your academic support without adding to staff workload.
Students working with Ascera see an average improvement of two grade boundaries. Referred students come into exams better prepared — and that shows up in your school's results and league table position.
Ascera operates entirely outside school hours. Referring a student takes a single email or conversation. We handle scheduling, resources, and progress tracking — none of it falls on your teachers.
Schools are rightly cautious about who they recommend to families. Ascera is UCL-educated, Enhanced DBS checked, ICO registered, and has a clear track record of results. We understand the responsibility of that recommendation.
With parent consent, Ascera can share session summaries and grade progress with your pastoral or academic team — giving schools visibility of how referred students are responding.
Whether a student needs to close a gap before exams or push from a grade 7 to a grade 9, Ascera works across the full range. Grammar school and selective school students are a particular strength.

With written parental consent, session summaries and grade progress can be shared directly with the referring teacher at agreed intervals.
One referral email or conversation is all that's needed. Scheduling, onboarding, and all parent communication is handled entirely by Ascera.
Partnership options
There is no one-size approach. Schools choose the arrangement that works best for them — from a simple preferred tutor listing to an active referral relationship.
Ascera is added to your recommended tutor list or shared with parents upon request. No formal arrangement required — just a trusted name families can turn to.
Teaching staff, pastoral leads, or SENDCO refer specific students they feel would benefit from additional support. Ascera follows up directly with families.
Ascera is promoted through your school's communication channels — parent newsletters, notice boards, or the school website — as a recommended out-of-hours academic provider.
Referral process
The school's involvement is a single conversation. Everything from that point — scheduling, onboarding, sessions, progress tracking — is handled by Ascera directly.
A subject teacher, pastoral lead, or SENDCO identifies a student who would benefit from structured external support — whether they are underperforming or need to push for a higher grade. No formal documentation is required.
The school contacts Ascera directly with the basics — year group, subject, and what the student is working towards. Alternatively, Ascera's details can be passed directly to the family to make contact themselves.
We reach out to the family, arrange a free 30-minute consultation call, complete onboarding, and confirm the session schedule — all directly with the parents. No follow-up is required from the school.
Tuition typically begins within one week of first contact. With parent consent, session summaries and grade progress can be shared back with the referring teacher at agreed intervals — no ongoing admin required from the school.
About Ascera
Schools are responsible for the recommendations they make to families. Ascera was built with that in mind — professional, accountable, and fully transparent about credentials and track record.
Ascera was founded by Harsil Dixit — a UCL 1st Class Honours graduate with over five years tutoring GCSE and A-Level students across state, grammar, and independent schools in North London and Hertfordshire. Every session is planned and delivered personally — no associates, no subcontracting.
"Referred by the pastoral team after consistently underperforming on assessments. Within two terms she had closed the gap entirely and sat her exam above the target grade the school had set. The referring teacher received a written progress summary at the halfway point."Year 10 student — pastoral referral, state comprehensive
"A grammar school student working towards selective sixth form entry. Needed to push well above his predicted grade. Intensive sessions over two terms — he exceeded his target by two grades."Year 11 student — grammar school referral
